The reign of sin is quickly approaching its climax here on earth. No politician can fix this, not even an honest one, because it has to do with the fallen, depraved nature of the human heart (Jeremiah 17:9). All of the seemingly insurmountable problems we are now experiencing in this world of ours are the result of man’s original rebellion against God, which is about to come to full fruition. True and lasting liberty apart from Christ is a delusion. And as long as that cosmic criminal, Satan, is running loose on the earth, political power will always concentrate into the hands of the few who are willing to bow the knee to his agenda.
(New King James Version)
5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
This doesn’t mean Christians should give up pursuing honest government and good people to run for office. On the contrary, we are to be salt and light and we are to occupy until His coming.
But ultimately, trying to apply strictly political solutions to spiritual problems with the hope that this will fix every injustice is an erroneous exercise.
